We need to raise $10,000 immediately for security, food, emergency supplies and evacuation readiness for children in our care outside Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo.

A lot of you will remember We Are Limitless. I’ve been involved with this organization for more than a decade, and many of you have helped me raise money for them right here on Instagram before.

For those who don’t know, We Are Limitless primarily works in Rwanda, providing vulnerable and orphaned children with education, housing, healthcare and long-term support.

They also care for children in the Democratic Republic of Congo, including at a home outside Goma.

And what is happening there right now is a fucking disaster.

This is not the first time.

In January of last year, their village was attacked. My friend Matt, who founded We Are Limitless, went into Congo to help get the children out.

They evacuated 41 kids.

One of those children had been shot in the head and had to be taken across the border into Rwanda for medical care.

And Matt’s close friend Kibomango, a former child soldier who had dedicated his life to helping others, was killed while helping move those children to safety.

Now the fighting is moving toward them again.

And this time, it has already reached the kids. Two of the older children in their care have been taken by M23 forces and forced to the front lines to fight.

These are kids We Are Limitless is responsible for. Kids we know. Kids we have watched grow up. And now they have been taken into this war.

The home itself remains vulnerable. They were not able to raise enough money to complete the security work around the property, and as the fighting gets closer, they need to be prepared to protect the children who remain and move them quickly if necessary.

WE NEED $10,000 NOW

Not next month. Now.

That money will go directly toward additional security, food, essential supplies and the ability to move these children quickly if the fighting gets any closer.

We know what can happen because it has already happened once.

Please give whatever you can. Ten dollars. Twenty-five dollars. A hundred dollars. And please don’t assume somebody else will do it.

You guys have helped me before. I’m asking you to help me again.
